Subscribe-O-Matic upgrade instructions
We thought you might want to know: Yes, you can delete all your kiosks, you can even delete your controller, empty your trash folder, or mix and match different versions of Subscribe-O-Matic - and you won't ever lose your list of members. Your members are safely stored outside Second Life and regularly backed up.Upgrading your Subscribe-O-Matic is fast and easy. Please follow these steps:
- If you haven't yet done so, grab the latest version of the Subscribe-O-Matic package from Subscribe-O-Matic Headquarters in world, from Second Life Marketplace.
- Teleport to your kiosks and simply delete the old one, and rez a new one from the latest package. Tip: You can easily check your kiosk versions and teleport to their locations from the Devices page.
- If you are using custom kiosks, simply rez one of the provided kiosks, and move (replace) all the scripts to your custom kiosk.
Replacing the controller:
- Check if there are any items inside the old Controller that you might want to move to the new one (gifts, recently sent items). In that case, move the items into your inventory, if you don't have them anymore.
- If you don't have the display texture for your kiosks in your inventory anymore, also make sure you move the "displaytexture" from the old Controller into your inventory.
- Delete the old Controller.
- Rez the Controller from the new package. You will get a warning about the missing texture, that perfectly normal.
- Move the "displaytexture" into the new Controller. Do the same with any items (gifts, etc...) you moved from the old one.
